Ingredients
  

Classic Marinade Ingredients:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional Variations (you can add as notes):
Asian: soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar
Mediterranean: garlic, olive oil, balsamic, rosemary
Spicy: Cajun spice mix, sriracha, chipotle

Method
 

1 Add step-by-step instructions:
    2 In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, dill, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
      3 Place salmon fillets in a non-reactive container. Pour the marinade over the salmon.
        Cover and refrigerate:
          Thin fillets (1.5 inch): 2–4 hrs or overnight
            4 Remove salmon from marinade and let excess drip off.
              5 Cook salmon using your preferred method:
                Grill: 4–6 min per side
                  Bake: 12–15 min at 400°F / 200°C
                    Pan-Sear: 3–4 min per side
                      Broil: 4–6 min per side
                        6 Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

                          Notes

                          • Always marinate salmon in the fridge.
                          • Avoid over-marinating, especially with acidic ingredients.
                          • Leftover marinade that touched raw salmon must be boiled before reuse.
                          • Adjust herbs, spices, and sweeteners to taste.
